「Duke Nukem Forever」のムービートレイラーがついに公開

　ほとんどのゲーマーが忘れていたであろう，Duke Nukemシリーズ最新作「Duke Nukem Forever」のムービートレイラーが，12月19日（現地時間）に公開されるようだ。

　これは開発元である3D Realmsのオフィシャルフォーラムで，同社のGeorge Broussard氏が明らかにしたもの。同氏によればムービーの長さは1分程度で，プレイシーンが収録されているという。
　公開予定のムービーは，12月15日に3DRealms社内で開かれたクリスマスパーティの会場で公開されたもので，開発を行っていた数名が密かに作成したものだという。社内の人達も驚いたらしく，どうせならみんなにも見てもらおうということで，急きょ一般公開が決まったとのこと。

　なおDukeの声には，「Duke Nukem 3D」でDukeを演じたJon St. John氏が再び声優として出演するほか，Jeremy氏とJulian Soule氏が音楽を担当することなども明かされており，誰もが止まったと思っていた開発だが，実は進んでいたようだ。

　1997年にDuke Nuken Foreverの発売が発表されてから10年の月日が流れ，ついに最新グラフィックスで描かれたDukeを見られるようになる，とはいえ，あいかわらず，いつになったら発売されるのかは不明のままだ。
