NCSoft，「City of Heroes」の権利を獲得し独自開発を開始
NCSoftは，同社がサービス中であるMMORPG「City of Heroes」と「City of Villains」の知的財産権のすべてをCryptic Studiosから獲得したと発表した。また同時に，カリフォルニア州北部に新開発スタジオ，NorCalを設立し，同作の拡張パックかあるいは，続編の開発を行うようだ。
City of Heroes，City of Villainsは，プレイヤーがスパイダーマンやX-メンのようなスーパーパワーを持ったヒーロー/悪人となるMMORPGだ。
今までNCSoftとCryptic Studiosが折半して持っていた，その知的財産権は，今後NCSoftがすべて掌握することになり，NCSoftが運営を，また開発をNorCalが行うことになる。なおNorCalには，同作の開発に携わっていた主なメンバーが移籍するとのことだ。
