北米で発売迫る「ファークライ4」の最新トレイラー2本が公開

　Ubisoft Entertainmentは，北米で2014年11月18日に発売を予定しているシリーズ最新作「ファークライ4」（PC/PS4/Xbox One/PS3/Xbox 360）の海外向けテレビCMおよびストーリーを紹介する最新トレイラーを公開した。



　これまで南の島やアフリカといった無法地帯と化した架空の地域が戦場となってきたファークライシリーズだが，最新作の舞台はヒマラヤ山脈の奥地にある小国「キラット」である。諸外国の干渉を受けず，それだけに無法者が集まってくるというキラットでは，独裁者パガン・ミンによって多くの人々が圧政に苦しめられていた。そこで母の遺骨を散布するため，この地を訪れた主人公エイジェイ・ゲイルが内乱に巻き込まれていくという物語が展開することになる。


　今回公開されたトレイラーでは，女性のシャーマンが率いる教団の暗躍や，ゲリラとなった現地住民との交流，そして麻薬のような草花を焼き払うシーンなどが確認できる。従来のシリーズ作と同じく，宗教や薬物といった大人向けのシリアスなテーマを扱っているようで，じっくりと楽しめる作品になっているのは間違いないだろう。
　日本での発売は2015年1月22日に予定されており，少々先の話になってしまうが，海外ローンチ後のメディアやファンの評価も楽しみにしたいところだ。
