サメゲー「Maneater」の最新DLC“Maneater: Truth Quest”が2021年夏にリリース

　Tripwire Interactiveが販売中のアクションRPG「Maneater」の最新DLC，「Maneater: Truth Quest」の制作が発表された。発売は2021年夏で，対応機種はPCおよびPS5，Xbox Series X，PS4，Xbox One。価格は14.99ドルが予定されている。

　プレイヤーが人食いザメとなって人間を襲うという，ユニークな設定の「Maneater」は，弱肉強食の大海原で捕食を重ね，さまざまなスキルを獲得して強力なオオメジロザメに成長していくという「ARPG」（RPGだがロールはサメだけなので，shARkPG）が謳われる作品だ。

　本作初となるDLC「Maneater: Truth Quest」では，2つの新地域とエピソードが登場するほか，新しい進化システムやチャレンジ，野生生物などが用意される。
　進化では，レベルキャップが40となるなど，ゲームシステムが拡張され，またヒエラルキーの頂点にいる捕食生物が強敵として登場したりなど，本編のプレイを終えた人でも新鮮な気持ちで再挑戦できそうだ。
