レースシミュレータ「Assetto Corsa」シリーズの全プラットフォーム累計総売上が1億ユーロ（約126億円）を達成

　Digital BrosとKunos Simulazioniは2021年2月9日，レースシミュレータ「Assetto Corsa（アセットコルサ）」シリーズの全プラットフォーム累計総売上が，1億ユーロ（約126億円）を達成したと発表した。


　2013年にSteamで早期アクセスが開始され，2014年12月に正式ローンチとなった第1作「Assetto Corsa」は，リアルに再現されたフェラーリやポルシェ，ランボルギーニといったスポーツカーやレースカーで，実在する世界中のサーキットでレースを楽しめるレースシミュレータだ。
　2016年に505 Gamesが「Assetto Corsa」をPS4/Xbox One向けにリリースし，2019年には続編となる「Assetto Corsa Competizione」（PC / PS4 / Xbox One）が発売されている。なお，同作は本年中に，PS5/Xbox Series X向けにリリースされることが決定しているとのことだ。

Digital Brosと、レーシングシミュレーター開発を手掛けるKunos Simulazioniは、本日2021年2月9日、レーシングシミュレーションゲーム『Assetto Corsa（アセットコルサ）』シリーズの全プラットフォーム累計総売上が1億ユーロ（約126億円）を達成したことを発表いたします。

Kunos Simulazioniは、業界随一のレーシングシミュレーター開発を目標に掲げ、創業者のマルコ・マッサルット氏とステファノ・カシージョ氏によって2005年に設立されました。2013年、『Assetto Corsa』はSteamで早期アクセスを開始、2014年12月の正式ローンチ版はシムレーシングファン待望の一作となりました。2016年8月、Digital Brosの子会社であるパブリッシャー505 Gamesが、同作をPS4、Xbox One向けにリリースし、コンソールユーザーも同作をプレイすることが可能となりました。2017年にDigital BrosがKunos Simulazioniを買収。2020年にはPS4、Xbox One向け『Assetto Corsa Competizione』がリリースされました。同作は本年中に、次世代コンソール向けにリリースされることが決定しています。

Kunos Simulazioniは『Assetto Corsa』シリーズのeSports展開を加速させるため、2020年12月、ヴァレリオ・ピエルサンティ氏を迎え入れました。Ferrariでビジネスデベロップメント部門・ヘッドを務めたピエルサンティ氏は、Kunos Simulazioniにて『Assetto Corsa』ライセンシングおよびパートナーシップ責任者を務めています。
