対人戦農業が正式開幕。「Farming Simulator 22」PvPマルチプレイモード“Arena＆Bale Stacking”を公開

　みんなで農業対人戦時代が正式にやってきた。

　GIANTS Softwareは，大規模農業シム「Farming Simulator 22」（PC / MAC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S / PS4 / Xbox One）において，マルチプレイモード「Arena」と「Bale Stacking」を実装した。

　同コンテンツは，同作のプロリーグ「Farming Simulator League」にも採用される，eスポーツを見据えたPvPモードである。

　GIANTS Softwareは，販売中の農業シム「Farming Simulator 22」のPC版で，新たなマルチプレイモード「Arena」と「Bale Stacking」のOBTを開始した。「Arena」モードは，最大3人のプレイヤーによる2つのチームが，収穫した小麦をまとめて俵を作り，できるだけ早く自分の倉庫に届けることを競うものだ。

　まず「Arena」は，最大3プレイヤー×2チームがそれぞれ農業機械をバン＆ピックで選び，競技エリア内の小麦の収穫量を競うモードだ。小麦で俵（Bale）を作り，より早く多く倉庫に届けたほうが勝利となる。

　農業機械のバン＆ピックという構図もそれだけで面白いものがあるが，チームごとに「パーク」を装備することで，重機の特徴を伸ばしたりすることもできる。これには農作に興味がなかった対人ゲーム好きたちも，思わず引かれてしまうこと請け合いだ。

　もう一方の「Bale Stacking」は最大6プレイヤーの個人戦で，小麦の俵を“慎重に積み上げて高さを競う”モードとなっている。


　なお，2023年7月1日〜2日に開催されるプロリーグの第5シーズントーナメントでは，試合形式にArenaが採用される。

　本大会では約20万ユーロ（日本円で約3000万円）の賞金が用意されるので，我こそが農業の化身だという人は参加を検討してみるといいかもしれない。ただし，参加は「3人1組のチーム（うちキャプテン1人）」となるため，農業性の違いはあらかじめ相談しておこう。
